As practitioners of magickal rites ourselves, we have a long history of buying and collecting occult paraphernalia, grimoires, spells, ritual robes, and many other items of esoteric interest. Back in the day (the late 1980s and early 1990s), before the internet became the established mechanism for most aspirants to obtain such things, it was necessary to travel long distances to visit occult shops – and they were few and far between, being mainly found only in large cities like London and Leeds. One of the first of its kind, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", was very well known and always worth a visit. In the twenty-first century, it is now possible to obtain pretty much anything by ordering it on the internet and having it delivered. With that in mind, we decided to set up our own online shop, and here it is!

At the time of writing (just starting to get set up, May 2023) we already have a reasonable number of items in stock and some more things via collaboration with other vendors. We are mindful that at launch, we will not be selling everything necessary for the needs of serious ritual magicians, but please bear with us as we build up our connections and supply chains and eventually arrive at the point we want to be at. For example, we eventually want to supply items necessary for ritual practice in the Romano-British (Celtic) path of the second century to which our natural inclinations and geographical location have led us - we are lucky enough to be based very near to the sacred springs of Buxton (Aquae Arnemetiae). We also hope to make some videos about this for the blog.

In terms of appeal to audience, we have set ourselves the task of being a broad temple, with many items being for the casually interested (e.g., a single spell candle to burn for better luck in life or a rose quartz tumblestone to carry on a first day of college and attract new friends from a sea of unfamiliar faces), to appealing to the most ardent followers of late antiquity theurgy who might need a particular form of resin frankincense or specific magickal oil, to others who just like witchy things like coffee mugs and doormats and aren’t really so interested in performing serious magickal work. Whatever your path, and wherever you are on it, we hope you will find things here to inspire you, protect you from evil, enlighten you and assist you on your cosmic journey.
